To harvest locally sourced timber to provide quality, sustainable hardwood products to support the needs of our customers and our community. We do business in an ethical manner, working with landowners to harvest timber through selective cutting. Our environmentally friendly process ensures no waste, with 100% of harvested logs being used to produce timber byproducts.

Kiln Dried Lumber
We saw and kiln dry select and better grade of more than 10 species of domestic hardwoods.
Green Lumber
Are you looking for lumber for a horse stall, hay wagon, trailer bed? How about a large beam? We can saw out green rough sawn lumber to your specifications up to 20 feet in length.
Mulch and Bedding
We offer sawdust for animal bedding. Naturally composted bulk hardwood bark mulch for your landscaping needs as well as chips.
Buyer's of Standing Timber
Do you have 10 or more acres of mature woods? We selectively harvest hardwood timber.

Our Family History
The Almendinger family has a tradition of sawmilling and logging in Ohio that dates back to 1917. Joe Almendinger started the Almendinger Sawmill on his farm Southeast of Johnstown in 1974, specializing in walnut. Over 40 years later, The Almendinger Sawmill L.L.C. is a very successful family-owned wood products operation. Today, Erich, Joe's son, their partner Gregg Butt and Joe run the business. The knowledge and skills have been passed down through the generations from Joe’s grandfather and father both of who were experts in locating the best timber.
